Commissioned in 2014 from Stephen Z Metal Designs, the Wishing Tree is displayed in Venter’s Park as an interactive piece of art for the town’s residents to enjoy. Pencils and biodegradable ribbons are located in a box nearby so that wishes can be tied to the branches. Wish ribbons will adorn the tree until they blows away with the wind or fall to the earth where they will decompose with nature.
